Good ol’ Days
Fable Branding and Advertising and the Virginia Lottery invited Cry to return for our third collaboration. The Good Ol’ Days is a licensed partnership with Skee-Ball®. The Good Ol’ Days campaign showcases the Virginia Lottery game that harkens back to the 80’s.
Cry worked with Fable to tweak the script and concept so that it met all the legal stipulations required by the licensors. The result was a delightful spot that sparked a nostalgic callback to an epic era.
Director Justin Rossbacher collaborated with his storyboard artist, Kenny Velez to create each shot within all of the spots (animatic above).
Justin worked with his DP, Joshua Echevarria, and their location scouts to choose the best locations possible. This led to filming at two different locations. The shoot was so well planned that it ended early on the final day of production.
The final step was to work with composer, Sunglasses Kid, to create an original melody that pulled all the classic 80s vibes.
In addition to the primary 30-second and 15-second cuts, Cry’s Post Production team produced a :60 extended cut, which was picked up and used by the client in their public-facing campaign.
